Large areas of rotten platework have been removed from the
Gents toilets,
and the interior stripped of all fittings. (DE)
The crew mess is almost non-existent at the moment! (DE)
Replacement of the topside plating in the dining saloon is
nearing
completion, and the new deck frames are in place. The new frames will have
intermediate support from columns (similar to those in the Britannia Lounge)
which has enabled them to be of much smaller section than the originals.
This should increase headroom by several inches. (DE)
