WAVERLEY ON THE CLYDE

Sunday 25 August dawned misty but turned into one of the finest days that we have seen this year, the sun started to burn through as Waverley passed Dumbarton Rock about noon.
Coming into Dunoon Pier on 25 August 2002
Waverley springs off Custom House Quay before Capt Jamieson rang down to go ahead. This weekend was unique on Waverley as the master was Captain Alan Jamieson and the Chief Officer was Captain Ian Jamieston, on leave from Northlink's Hascovay. The two gentlemen are not related.

No Waverley hasn't migrated up the Leven to visit that other Inglis paddle steamer - Maid of the Loch - but this is about as close as the two ships get. Waverley steaming up the Clyde with a fine view of Ben Lomond in the background.
