PADDLE STEAMER WAVERLEY: HERITAGE REBUILD: COMPLETION PHASE.

Photograph taken by Guy Frankham on Monday 25 November 2002.

The first shows the ship in position over the barge when it had been sunk prior to lifting.

The second is an infra red shot when the barge was coming clear of the water.

These photographs of the initial barge operation show the sinking of the barge and Waverley being moved over it. Unfortunately the light conditions were not sufficient to enable recording of the barge lift.

The time lapse photography of Waverley's lift out of the water did not happen dut to the operation starting in low light and being completed in darkness. We do hope to have the re-floating operation captured though.

On the barge in the cold light of day. The river is too narrow adjacent to Prior's yard, so this stage is taking place further downstream.
