Their web site reports "Breaking news in Aberdeen is that UK Offshore Operators are investigating a new mode of crew change transfer to offshore. The mode is rumoured to be more luxurious but cheaper to operate. We at MMASS are not certain whether the paddle vessel Waverley is this new mode."

Waverley continued to make good progress since leaving Aberdeen on Tuesday night and was sailing past Mallaig at 15.30 on Wednesday afternoon. She is due at Anderston Quay on Thursday morning.
